ASEAN DANCE 2008!

I had an awesome time there at Hilton. Had sooo much fun partying. And I got to meet new people, and get closer with the ones I already know!

Thanks to Nani for inviting me. HAHA.

Most of the people there, I didn't know. But some of my classmates and school mates (including the scholars of course!) were there. So yeah, it was pretty cool. Attended the event with Karthik and Dione. I danced in 3 inch heels till my calves(sp?) were sore but surprisingly no blisters, and no damage to my shoes! All those hip hop performances put up really made me wonder why our school have none of such talent. Haha. But the bands.. ahem. Okay lah, one clap.

Me, Kaijing and Charmaine should go perform to represent Commonwealth. Hehe.

Sidetrack abit ah, about the teachers' day performance by 3 of us.. I would like to say, it was.. fun? Haha. It wasn't perfect and we all stumbled a lil but I guess it's just normal. Cheers, we should all go pro and start recording tracks. LOL.

And tsk, stop telling me I'm very extra. ;P

Gosh, Oak was just.. being extra gentlemanly that night.

Well before I talk about that. You know, it's hurting to see couples dance and seeing boyfriends desperately looking for girlfriends to drag them on the dancefloor. And its even more hurting when they play all the songs that have such huge significance to you. I don't know. It was just a lil painful.

But I guess I really put it aside when I was asked to dance. Dancing with Oak is just really weird. And we kinda both agreed it was weird after like a matter of 30 seconds. Haha. And then I danced with this guy who was a friend of Oak and gang. And he even bought me flowers! How sweet. First stranger I've ever danced with. Haha. Though I can't seem to get hold of him to thank him for everything!

I mean, its not about who I'm dancing with (okay even though both were FAIRLY good looking). It's the fact that I have the ability to move on, and venture on, you know? That i'm not stuck onto the past and that i'm not burried in regret. I've never had such a rush of excitement in me for such a long time already. As sluttish as all this sounds, I think it's part of healing, right?

Well, I really miss last night though. Haha.

All good things come to and end, right?

This national day holiday is quite a disappointment, really. I don't know, just wish I had more excitement than this.

Yesterday was pretty blah I guess. Didn't even stay to watch the fireworks in the end. I was kinda excited and looking forward to yesterday but I guess sometimes things don't go the way you want them to. But ohwell. At least I bought stuff.

Let's hope tmr will make up for it.

Well, enough of the low emotions. Today was my newborn cousin, Anthea's, 1 month celebration! Haha.

She is so adorable. Wonder how she'd grow up in a peranakan-chinese-vietnamese culture. Just loveee seeing lil children grow up. It's such a magical thing.

I feel like I need to go do something crazy, you know?
Or are things already spinning in a whirl-like motion?
I feel, I feel the winds changing.
I feel people moving.
I feel like we're all about to step into a different scene.

I think my blog is getting too wordy and dead.

WOOHOO.

Oh, I caught the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics today. And I tell you, I feel so proud to be a chinese. I might be some "jiak-kan-tang" Singaporean, but the pride still lives in me! While watching the performances, I explained to my sister our four most famous and great contributions to the world. And I was surprised I used the word "our". I mean, I'm not even a China chinese!

But honestly, the performances were spectacular, almost magical. Anybody who caught it would've felt the same too.

Oh, and my dad was so cute. I bought him an official Beijing Olympics t-shirt from Suzhou and guess what? Today being casual friday, he wore it to work. Haha.

Waving a Singaporean flag when he's a Malaysian. Heh.

And if you think this picture is funny, wait till you see the one where he grabbed a life saving float off a pole in Sentosa and ran across the beach with it around his waist. LOL.

Speaking about Singapore, tmr is national day! :D

Singing those national songs never fail to evoke a strong sense of patriotism in me. The crew who went to NLB for that talkshow a.k.a debate-with-a-bitch session, would probably be sniggering. Haha. PATRIOTISM SHOULD BE OFFERED AS A COMPULSORY SUBJECT IN SCHOOLS, IT FREAKING ALREADY IS!

Kinda realised this year's the last time I'd be performing for the national days' celebration in school. Heh. Kinda sad eh. Been've doing this for three years in a row.

Overall it was really fun, as usual. The choir did okay I guess. After the whole thing I went to Vivo to eat and shop with Dione, Jovina, Shaun and Pingyee. The cafe we went to wasn't the best place I've been to, neither is the food super good, but I guess it's something new. Called Bon Bon Cafe or something I think. And it's so annoying when you go shopping and you CAN'T find anything. When you have no money, you always find something you wanna buy. But when you HAVE money, you can't find anything to buy at all. I hope tmr's trip to Haji Lane will be fruitful. I'm all set to go bankrupt.
